Does a mineral ingredient prove the claim?

An ingredient list alone cannot show that a finished toothpaste repairs teeth. Look for research on the actual formula and the result being claimed.

What if a website links to a study?

Check which toothpaste was studied, who took part and what the researchers measured. A study of a different product may not answer your question.

Why we talk about the ingredient, not a promise

In 2025 the advertising industry’s self-regulatory body asked one hydroxyapatite brand to stop saying its toothpaste remineralizes teeth, because its evidence tested the ingredient, not its finished paste. We think that is the right standard. Tooth Wizard is made with 10% nano-hydroxyapatite, the mineral enamel is mostly made of. You will see the word “Remineralizing” on the front of our current tubes; that packaging was printed before this site was written. We have not tested the finished Tooth Wizard paste for remineralization, so this site does not make that claim. What we can do is show you the research on the ingredient with its details intact. See the trials.
