Why does the tube say “nano”?
Nano describes the form of hydroxyapatite used in the paste. You will see “hydroxyapatite” in the ingredient list and “10% nano-hydroxyapatite” on the front.
What does 10% mean?
It is the concentration of nano-hydroxyapatite in Tooth Wizard, printed on the front of every tube.
Was Tooth Wizard used in the studies?
No. The trials tested another maker’s paste, not Tooth Wizard’s nano formula. The children’s trial used microcrystalline hydroxyapatite; the adult trial’s methods do not establish particle size. We point that out because a study of one toothpaste tells you about that toothpaste, and you deserve the details.
What else is in the paste?
The formula also includes sweeteners, a coconut-derived cleanser and flavor. Vanilla Mint lists peppermint, spearmint and wintergreen oils.
